Review by Katie Yohe for Love Romance Books
I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked it, but also felt like it went on and on and on. The characters
had real problems and insecurities which made them more relatable. I enjoyed the secondary characters and friends with their quirky personalities and crazy hang ups. I felt like the book portrayed some deep and dark emotions, but not quite as many as the story should have evoked from a reader based on the tragedy it
was centered around. It is about revenge, hatred, remembrance, forgiveness and acceptance; which each character experiences at different times based on their personal journeys. It took awhile for me to become invested in Allie and Adam's outcome, but over time they stole a place in my heart. I enjoyed watching Adam
grow as a person and begin to realize there is more to life than he previously realized. Both he and Alexis work through their own self-doubts and uncertainties after many heartbreaking revelations while coping with strong
feelings of guilt. In the end I was content with their decisions, but was left wondering what their next moves are going to be. With that said, I am looking forward to the next chapter of their story.
